Thats IT! I can no longer work under these conditions. Whomever told Queen Latifah (damn all that Dana Owens mess), that she could re-do "Simply Beautiful" by the Illustrious Al Green, needs to report for Imperial Execution right now. That song is the biggest offense to the Old School that I've heard in a hot ass minute. And y'all know how I love my old school. I thought it was bad when Urban Mystic re-did "Woman's Gotta Have It". His rendition was truly less-than-good. But this shit here? Hell naw. It makes Urban Mystic sound like Womack Reloaded. This shit BLOWS. My feelings are ever so hurt. That is one of my favorite Al Green songs, and this heffa has completely dismantled it and put it back together all wrong. She ain't even got the "when you get right down to it" part right. You're supposed to go "hee-heeeee-eee"! And the "when you need me part?" Naw. All fucked up. BOOOO. BOOO on that heffa, and damn her to Detroit, Michigan. That is all.

I say execute whoever told Queen Latifah she could sing “Simply Beautiful” and whoever told Urban Mystic he could sing “Woman’s Gotta Have It”. Two producers out there need to lose life soon and for good reason.
I kinda listened to a few tracks off her CD too and wasn't feeling it as much as I should, considering how much I dig jazz and oldies...I see I wasn't alone on that even though u found the silver lining around John Legend that I have yet to see.

YES YES YES!!!!! SHE BLEW IT!! SHE RUINED IT!!!! I saw the video yesterday and damn near started crying! My first thought was, "what would AL think??" but HE WAS IN THE VIDEO!!!
This is unacceptable!! We need to form a coalition!! I'm going to have to address this in an entry one day!
