I guess I should be concerned
New Mandate: Don't agree to shit a 13 year old says. Because they ass will NEVER forget. Prime example: one of my prom dates is approaching in the spring. I thought them little kids was playing, man. Li'l man walked up on me last night (well big man now), like "Ay Misty, I gotta question for you. You remember 4 years ago? Remember when you was washing that other blue car? And you had on that blue and white shirt with them shorts and I was asking you how much your nike's cost, and then I asked you to go to prom with me? And you was like, ha, thats cute, yeah, man-man, I'll go?" "Uhhh... I guess I remember... *looking kinda scared* What you trying to say, man-man?" "Well you know my prom is in June right??? I still want you to be my date, and I saw the perfect dress." At this point I'm a little scared because the li'l homie is dead serious. Junior is dying laughing at me. I'm trying to find a way out of it, so I go with the, "Baby, you know I'm too damn old to go to prom now. I was too old then when you asked me! I didn't know you were serious." He ain't buying it. He's like, "Look. You ain't that old. I gotta take you. I been thinking about taking you since I was 13 years old." Me: "What about your girlfriend? She's way prettier than me, and I'm sure she wont like being kicked to the curb for me." Him: "Got that covered. See, I'm planning to break up with her in June." (WTF?) Me: "well your folks might object. Thats like some statutory shit. I'm not trying to get in trouble." Him: "No trouble, they already know I'm taking you. I already seen the gold dress. You gonna look so fine!" OH SHIT. So now I'm panicking. This li'l nigga has been holding me to this for 4 years on the hush, and I thought he wasn't serious. I'd just brushed it off, because I see all them fools as my baby brothers since they was always around Junior. Man, F'in Mrs. Parker syndrome for reals. I'm old as shit when it comes to that. I'm gonna be 26. I can't be at nobody's prom! That means I've got 2 more lil boys to worry about. They might be serious too. The last one graduates when I'm 27. Man-man looked so genuinely offended that I was trying to back out, I felt like pure shit. His face just fell on the damn ground. So now I gotta enlist Jr. to convince him to keep his damn girlfriend and go with her to prom. So yeah, NEVER tell a 13 year old anything. Matter of fact, don't talk to any 13 year olds at all unless the're your kids. Because they'll grow up and seek retribution from you. Demand that you make good on what you said so long ago that your ass can't even remember. BOOO. And I'mma be in a gold dress. Go head and shoot me.
