Bonita Applebum
I know I'm gonna have a good day today. KDAY 93.5 fm decided to bless me this morning while I was switching my CDs around. I heard, for the first time in a good while, the A Tribe Called Quest gem that is Bonita Applebum. I promptly and appropriately freaked out, then turned up the stereo as loud as it could go. I guess the dude next to me was listening to the same thing because it sounded like a block party on Artesia and Central. I actually smiled at the person staring at me in their rear view as I danced in my car. So yeah, thanks KDAY... for reminding me how good the 80's and 90's were. And how much the music of today SUCKS ASS. Anyway, speaking of music that could potentially suck ass, based on the passionate pleas of Mr. Pimpin' Panama, I have resolved to buy the damn Destiny's Child CD on Monday (or tuesday, LOL). My skepticism has not abated one bit, but he has good taste like I, the Almighty Sole Ruler. So he can't be wrong (twice in a row, that is... JE is the ultimate un-good. I dont care.). But yeah, I'mma buy it. And I will post the Imperial Review after I listen to it. I am not going to complain, but rather this information is for my own record-score keeping purposes. The damn crackhead ex called me AGAIN last night, at 11:45, and left another 9 minute message. That makes 3 times this week. I may have to alert my brother to this niggas incessant harassment of his precious older sister. Because obviously this ass doesn't get subtle hints or blunt cussin out's. So looks like I'mma have to call the reinforcements on this one. Man. I didn't want to have to take it there. In addition to that jackass, homegirl I went to the jazz club with is becoming a stalker. That is ultra sick, because we all know that I fear the Women of the Rainbow with an undying, unrelenting fear. I may have to get Junior on her too, since technically she's the dude of the situation (Uhhhhll, I just grossed myself the F' out... BLAH). Today I actually have work. Is this a good thing? I dont know. I'm not sure yet. On one hand I wont be bored like yesterday. But on the other hand, I will probably end up disgruntled and seeking my box cutter before the day ends. I cant call it right now. But since I do, indeed have some stuff to do, lemme go do it. That means you have to also. Because the Neighborhood Queen does not work alone. So there, get cha ass to work. For I have mandated it, and y'all shall make it so. That is all, peasants.

Man, Pimpin', I trust you. If you say it's great, it probably is... :-). I shall make my final Imperial Decision upon hearing the CD in its entirety (if I can stand it to that point), LMAO. And I'm not a naysayer... I'm Her Imperial Majesty. What I say goes, LOL. So there.
LMAO @ "Johhny Gill" of the group... thats a cold one. Although I used to love me some Johnny Gill, LOL.

Good lookin out Daina!! Thats what I'm talking about :-), hook a sista up, LOL.
Yeah, I was about to tell you to listen to it on mtv.com before you buy it. I liked it and I am not even a DC fan (I do like some of their music). I contemplated buying it too but I am going to hold off and see if it grows on me more like Bey's CD.
