...You have got the power, of the GLOW!

you are the Last Dragon, you have got the powah of the Glowww... you are, you are!

OK. First off, let it be known that no matter what time I pass out, I will still wake up before everyone else around me. Shit sucks, man.

Now that is has been established that the Queen has the inner alarm clock of a basehead, let us begin. International and Global Thank God Misty Was Born Today-day did not suck 90% as bad as it started to. (Henry, I guess you were right.) Despite the fact I was stuck at the lab, I somehow got off work early. So I came home (it was a mess) and proceeded to continue in my grumpiness. And then it hit me (A classic, Insightful Revelation moment)...

This shit would suck a WHOLE LOT MORE, for a lot more people if you were DEAD.

Now that could be some fucked up shit to say on your birthday, but when you've almost died as many times as I have, its a wake up call in a real way. Lets do a death toll, so you can get my drift.

Her Imperial Majesty's Death Evasion Toll

1. I've been in more car wrecks than I can count. 2. I've been to surgery twice, and each time they gave me too much anesthesia for my size and they couldn't wake me up. Once they fucked up my breathing-tube-thingy and had to do emergency resucitation. 3. I've been violently jacked a couple of times. 4. I've had men do things to me I don't want to put out here, but I wanted to kill myself afterwards. 5. The sawed off 12 gauge incident.

So when I looked at it like that, I thought, "Dammit, I refuse to complain." Because the truth is, I got homies that didn't even live long enough to get summer jobs, and here I am a college graduate, in a real career. They died before we could get our licenses. Here I drive a fuckin convertable Mustang GT. They died alone. I was shot, but my fam was with me up at Killa King. I have never been alone, even when I felt alone. That's some shit to be thankful for.

So when the folks came in, I had a whole new attitude. Before I even saw the balloons or my presents, I hugged everyone... even pops. Then we went to the almighty Chinese Buffet... an experience that will need a whole new post. Then my sister, brother, and I went out to act an ass. Too much comedy. I taught them niggas well. My pops gave me cash, moms came thru with some Bath and Body Works stuff. My sister came through with what I consider the bestest present of all...

Berry Gordy's The Last Dragon on DVD! She knew how bad I wanted it... that is my favorite movie of all times. We watched it after we came home. I still got to act a damn fool. Life was good in the Kingdom.

And so, we depart from the CPT. It is 2:50 a.m., and the Neighborhood Queen has finally called it quits. We watch her put on her satin crown for bed, and we exit quietly (so no one gets shot. You know them Compton folks is scared of burglars.) Good night little Queen. Happy Birthday.

I'm glad your day turned out better than you expected... I used to always romanticize and envy what I thought was the exciting life of other people. Then I realize that some people envy the most minute and mundane facets of my own life. I guess everything in life is relative, and its wonderful that you're still here so we can hear Insightful Revelations.
