A Beautiful Day in the Neighborhood
Good morning my folks! Today is a good day, because I have no work this early in the morning. This is unusual, but I’m feeling great as a result. I woke up late, had to rush my shower, didn’t even get the customary crusty ass granola bar. But I get here, and it’s all good. The NH Queen ain’t mad, y’all. However, 213’s Groupie Love is playing on Power 106. I hate that song. You have NO idea how I hate that song. God help me, I wish I could slap Warren G and Snoop upside they head for that travesty of a song. Can a sista get some Gin & Juice up in here? Damn. Anyway, y’all know how I hate my brother 95% of the time? But 5% of the time he’s great? Well last night he knew I was sad because all my crap-ass ex’es are coming around, and I hate them all. I was sad because for once I wanted to talk to someone I wouldn’t have to cuss out, and there was no one. So I took my ass to bed. But before I went to sleep, the boy came in there with a Chocolate Drumstick offa the ice cream truck (what 'chu know about that CPT ice Cream truck passing at 9:30 pm?) and sat on my bed. He said, “Pooh, don’t worry, Imma take care of you. I’m forbidding you from finding a man, because you’re hella bad at it. But I’m gonna find you one, and kick his ass. If he can withstand that ass-kickin, he will be worthy of you. So eat this, go to sleep, and know June’s gonna work it out.” I couldn’t do nothing but crack up. Things like that make me thank God I have a brother. I wanna kill him most of the time, but I love him dearly. He’s plotting his marriage for next year. I ain’t even mad that I lost the race, LOL. I’m so proud of him. He’s closer to buying his house then I am, because God knows he’s gotta provide for wifey. All I gotta say is, the Negro that comes up on me has some big shoes to fill. My baby brother is only 21, and he’s more than able to hold it down, and not just financially. He knows that a sistas legs aint gonna be hairless every single day. He knows the agony of cramps and the importance of drugs. He knows that we inherently feel ugly, and he knows how to fix that. I’m proud of Junior. Momma, Nisha, and I did a damn good job with him. He can take care of his woman. And the broad he’s marrying is cool w/ me. She passed Nisha and my scrutiny over 2 years ago. I know she wont hurt my brother. She don’t wanna die. Anyway, time for me to look busy. And I'm so good at that. Side Note: I hate this McDonalds $1 Tuesday commercial. Yay! The Nelly & Jaheim song is on! YAY! So you all must do the same. Have a lovely day until I come back.

Classic sibling moment. I love those. Junior, or as us black folks would say "Junia", and your relationship with him is special. Its good that you don't take advantage of that. And hell yeah, the ice cream truck rolls past 9:30 p.m. in the Third World, South Memphis too. LOL...
Thats so sweet...Ur brother really loves you...And I can tell you really love him too...I'll keep you posted
The relationship you have with Junior is very precious. I have a big sister and I love her to death, but because of our huge age difference (12 years), we don't have a relationship with the same closeness as you and Junior. We've become tight over the years as I got older, but our relationship has always been defined by the fact that she's more an authority figure to me than an equal. You and Junior have the benefit of growing up at the same time, getting in trouble together, fighting each other... the experiences that bind brothers and sisters. Out of those shared experiences comes a bond that's truly special.
By the way... I'M BACK! Details forthcoming...
Yeah, that boy loves me. I'd kill a heffa for my brother, and I've recently found that he'd do the same for me if I asked, LOL.
Yay! Henry's back! We want details and pictures, homie!
Aww Misty, you and your lil bro are cute! I think he has a good plan on how to help you out. I need me a lil borther with a plan like that too!

Henry's back!!!
Ethel, I think everyone needs a little brother whose willing to beat someone's ass on their behalf, LOL. I'd rent mine out to you, but as you can see he is in serious demand right now.
