When you hear the song, you know it's on, babygurl...

The Queen is happy again, people.

I usually don't listen to the radio, because it is recycled garbage and I hate it. Aside from my small collections of favorite artists (T.I.) I can give a flaming hot [expletive deleted] about anything that could be played on Power 106, 100.3 the Beat, 99.1 KGGI, or even 102.3 KJLH.

Until Friday afternoon, that is.

While I was on my way home from the super sexy and wonderfully new higher paying place of employment, I heard something that sounded like My Latest Greatest Inspiration by Teddy Pendegrass. Then I heard Kanye West & Do or Die on the hook.

I am now a believer.

I was not the one on Kanye's nuts, metaphorically or literally speaking. I was more like, "yeah he aiight." But I am now convinced. Anyone who can take what was gonna be my wedding song (well until it was used in some bootsy Black Folks wedding movie... BLAH) and turn it into a viable rap song is King (not reigning supreme though. That's only for me) in my book. The song Higher by Do or Die has resurrected my faith in Power 106. You see, I'm a oldies slo-jam R&B fiend. So I am much more inclined to listen to my ol' school than some mainstream BS on the radio. But this was no B.S... it was my favorite Teddy song, with my favorite Bone Thugs-N-Harmony-esque rap style. Since BONE fell off, Do or Die will do just nicely. Man, believe me when I say that I was in pure, unadulterated heaven. So of course I floored it until I was doing about 95 (on Alameda Street not even the freeway), made it home before I forgot the name of the song. I called about 3 CD stores and no one knew what I was talking about. Went on CDnow.com, and couldn't find it. I absoutely had to have that song. You can never understand my need for that song. I couldn't find it anywhere, so you know what I had to do. I'm not even gonna tell on myself, but you know what I did. We gon' leave it at that. And thanks to my persistence to have my song, I have been the most happiest little Queen on the Westside of the West Coast for the past two days.

Royal Mandate: Kanye West and Do or Die have been added to the ranks of the Illustrious and Almighty Musicians of the Imperial Kingdom. The Neighborhood Queen had mandated it, and it shall be so. That is all.

Now. For other pressing matters: I'm hungry. Therefore, Kanye, Do or Die, and myself shall bust a run to Tam's offa Rosecrans and obtain some of the Sacred Dope-Fiend-Crack Fries. Nothing but the best, lemme tell ya. And with that, I'm out.

By the way, happy Sunday to all my fellow Christians, Backsliders, and Undeclared, LOL. Be safe. That is all.
